ENRICO KOELLING, 28-4 (9), revived his career with victory over LEON HARTH, 20-4 (13). Koelling went ahead early and then held off a late charge from Harth to take a deserved majority decision that should have been unanimous. Two judges went for Koelling by 96-94 and third scored it 95-95.

Super-flyweight “The Little Lulu” LOURDES JUAREZ, 33-2,1NC (4), improved her current unbeaten run to 30 fights as she outpointed LUZ ELENA AGUILAR, 7-3-1 (1), with scores of 99-91 twice and 98-92.

Impressive performance from JAIME MUNGUIA, 38-0 (33), as outscores experienced GABRIEL ROSADO, 26-14-1,1NC (15). Munguia set a fast pace, outboxing Rosado in a show of greater maturity. He was connecting with left jabs and sweeping hooks to head and body from both hands. Rosado jabbed well and was always looking for an opening for his dangerous right. Munguia’s punch output allowed him to establish an early lead but Rosado was finding the target with power punches to head and body. Munguia had Rosado rocking in the fourth and the fierce exchanges continued over the fifth and sixth with both landing cracking punches, Rosado this time rocking Munguia with a right. Rosado was still able to keep it a close fight with some crisp counters but gradually the body punches of Munguia and the younger fighter’s work-rate proved too much for the tiring Rosado. Munguia extended the gap in the points by sweeping the last three rounds. The judges scored it 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111 for Munguia as he continues his campaign for a shot at the middleweight title. In a female fight at flyweight ARELY MUCINO, 30-3-2,1NC (10), climbed off the floor in the ninth to win a split verdict over JACKY CLAVO, 14-7-2 (1), at 96-93 twice for Mucino and 96-93 for Calvo. Middleweight MIDDLE D’MITRIUS BALLARD, 21-0-1, 2ND (13), overcame a slow start to outpoint PAUL VALENZUELA, 26-9 (17), with all three judges scoring it 98-92 for Ballard. Lightweight WILLIAM ZEPEDA, 24-0 (22), looked impressive as he handed out severe punishment to useful JOHN VINCENT MORALDE, 24-5 (13), with the Filipino turning away from the action in the fourth in surrender. Welterweight ALEXIS ROCHA, 18-1 (12), halted JEOVANIS BARRAZA, 23-21 (15), in the ninth round.

DAVID BENAVIDEZ, 25-0 (22), the number one-ranked super-middleweight behind champion Canelo Alvarez, bludgeoned KYRONE DAVIS, 16-3-1 (6), to defeat in seven rounds. Davis spent the first two rounds circling the perimeter of the ring with Benavidez hunting him down and landing burst of punches when he was able to trap Davis against the ropes. From the third Davis stood and traded more but paid for that as Benavidez was able to land savage shots to head and body through the fourth and fifth. In a kamikaze-type approach Davis attacked strongly at the start of the sixth but Benavidez saw out the storm, and then launched a torrent of punches that had Davis reeling along the ropes at the bell. Davis came out for the seventh but when Benavidez had him stumbling under heavy fire, the towel came in from Davis’ corner. Benavidez’s elder brother JOSE BENAVIDEZ, 27-1-1 (18), was lucky to escape with a draw against Argentinian FRANCISCO TORRES, 17-3-1 (5), with two judges scoring it 95-95 and the third having Benavidez in front 96-94. Featherweight KEENAN CARBAJAL, 23-2-1 (14), the nephew of Hall of Fame inductee Mike Carbajal, halted JOSEAN BONILLA, 12-7-2 (9), for his 18th win in a row.
KOLDING, DENMARK
Local fighter DINA THORSLUND, 17-0 (6), was massively impressive as she put ZULINA MUNOZ, 53-4-2 (30), down and out with a body punch in the seventh round. Munoz had been 48-1-2 at the start of her career. Danish super-middleweight prospect JACOB BANK, 5-0 (2), dominated his fight with Finn AKU KANNINEN, 9-1-1 (2), who retired after the seventh round.
CLERMONT-FERRAND, FRANCE
In a clash of former French light-heavyweight champions, KEVIN COJEAN, 27-10-2 (9), came from behind to floor HUGO KASPERSKI, 34-11-1 (22), in the sixth and stop him in the seventh to win the vacant national title. Former kickboxing champion NICOLAS WAMBA, 8-0 (3), decisioned KARIM BERREDJEM, 10-8 (3), on scores of 98-92 on the three cards to retain the national heavyweight title.

Cuban cruiserweight MIKE PEREZ, 26-3-1 (17), continued his comeback as he relentlessly broke down Argentinian JOSE ULRICH, 17-5,1NC (6), with the referee stopping the fight in the sixth round. Argentinian light-flyweight AUGUSTIN GAUTO, 17-0 (12), impressed in his first fight in Europe as he floored JABA MEMISHISHI, 8-16 (1), three time for a first round stoppage. Former Commonwealth heavyweight champion LENROY THOMAS, 24-5-1 (12), scored a win over Argentinian MARCOS AUMADA, 21-11 (16), with the referee stopping the messy match in the fourth.
