‘Where is my money?’: Garcia and Haney accuse Golden Boy of non-payment from their PPV fight

Fighting

Drama continues to swirl around the fight between Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney. It’s not all about Garcia testing positive for a banned substance, however. Both fighters have taken to social media to call out both Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN for not having received payment from their April 20 PPV.

“Where is my money,” Garcia would ask in a series of posts on X. “Even if you don’t like me the fact I haven’t received payment for my fight is messed up.

“Still no payment GBP and DAZN?” Garcia would then ask in a since-deleted post.

“Same,” Devin Haney would then repost before Garcia’s deletion, indicating he also hasn’t been paid and following a previous post indicating Oscar De La Hoya of avoiding his calls.

“Oscar bitch ass ain’t answered the phone for weeks. Bitch I’m calling about my money,” Haney posted in late May.

These latest public accusations prompted a public response from Golden Boy, who claim that they are abiding by their contractual obligations.

“As we have always done with all our fighters, Golden Boy paid Ryan and Devin exactly what they are owed under their contracts. As with all PPV events, revenue comes in over time and additional payments will be made when more money is received. If they aren’t aware of this fact, we would hope that their managers are. Or perhaps Ryan and Devin should pay more attention to their contracts than their social media feeds.”
