Jack Catterall injured, Regis Prograis fight postponed

Latest

JACK Catterall’s fight with Regis Prograis has been postponed after the Chorley man suffered an injury in training.

The bout was due to take place in Manchester’s Co-Op Arena on August 24. A new date is now being sought.

This is a much-needed contest for both men. Prograis was last seen getting bounced around the ring by Devin Haney over 12 tough rounds. Catterall was seeking to build some valuable momentum following his revenge win over Josh Taylor in their rematch.

This is an obvious blow for Catterall, whose career has been blighted by spells of various inactivity. The man trained by Jamie Moore must’ve thought his luck had finally turned after toppling Taylor. Sadly, this is not to be the case – for now.

Reports suggest the revised date will be sometime around October.
