‘This is my dream’: Bivol eager to go undisputed against Beterbiev

Fighting

Dmitry Bivol tells Sky Sports that he’s on the verge of realizing his dream of becoming an undisputed champion, and will take his shot at accomplishing that when he unifies all light heavyweight titles against Artur Beterbiev this Saturday.

Bivol sees this fight as sort of a cumulation of everything he’s done in his life preparing for this moment, and believes it will prove whether or not he’s been on the right path all along.

“It’s like I did everything right in my life. Because this is my goal. This is my dream and the dream could come true. Of course it will show me that I was doing right,” Bivol told Sky Sports.

For Bivol, the most important thing is that he fulfills his expectations of himself while saying everthing else is just icing on the cake.

“The main thing is that I realise my potential. I have a plan, I want to reach this goal and all of it – that people will recognise me, people will remember me, I will get some belts, it’s just a bonus.”

For Bivol to get this big win, however, he’ll have to go through a devastating puncher in Artur Beterbiev, who has stopped every single opponent he’s faced as a professional. Bivol seems to know what he’s up against though, long being familiar with Beterbiev, and will look to employ his own refined craft to cement his legacy.
