Espinoza vs Ramirez rematch to join Navarrete vs Valdez 2 on Dec. 7

Fighting

ESPN’s Salvador Rodriguez reports that after narrowly avoiding a purse bid for their ordered rematch, WBO featherweight champion Rafael “Divino” Espinoza and former titlist Robeisy Ramirez will square off as part of Top Rank’s planned December 7th Emanuel Navarrete vs Oscar Valdez 2 show in Phoenix.

The pair have picked up a win apiece since Espinoza (25-0, 21 KO) upset Ramirez (14-2, 9 KO) in one of 2023’s best fights. Espinoza beat down unheralded Sergio Chirino in June, while Ramirez bounced back from defeat with a one-punch finish of Brandon Benitez shortly thereafter. They’re quite clearly two of the best fighters the division has to offer and their styles promise another banger.

Between this doubleheader and DAZN’s Liam Paro vs Richardson Hitchins card that same evening, the former figures to be quite a bit more watchable. We’ll pass along the official announcement as soon as we get it.
