Schofield vs Tellez Giron: Live updates and results, 8 pm ET

Fighting

Top lightweight prospect Floyd Schofield takes a step up tonight against Rene Tellez Giron, headlining a Golden Boy-promoted show on DAZN from Las Vegas.

Live coverage starts at 8 pm ET.

Schofield, 22, will put his undefeated record on the line in a 12-rounder against Tellez Giron, 25, a “young veteran” from Mexico who has won three in a row. You may remember Tellez Giron from his 2019 upset win over then-unbeaten Karlos Balderas.

Also on the card: Bektemir Melikuziev faces David Stevens in what is only a WBA super middleweight eliminator for Stevens, as Melikuziev missed weight, and Gabriela Fundora, at 22, looks to become boxing’s youngest four-belt undisputed champ ever when she faces Gabriela Alaniz for all the marbles at flyweight.
