Gary Antuanne Russell talks to Fight Hype about his opinion on Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, who headlines this weekend in Philadelphia, and explains why he still think he’s got his number if they were to ever fight professionally based on the same flaws that allowed him to win in the amatuers. Check out some of what Russell had to say about Boots below.

“It’s certain shots that he was just accessible for that til this day I feel like he still hasn’t fixed that flaw fully,” Russell said. “When I move up, when I wipe out that 140 division, I’m moving up to fight catchweight fights and everything. Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, if he’s still at 147, he will be one of them ones. We gonna keep the sport entertaining.

“It’s certain flaws the he didn’t fix within his arsenal. He have graduated and got more comfortable with his deliverance, his fighting style and stuff like that, to the point where he’s kind of like perfecting it. Everybody got a different style.

“The same flaw that kind of put him in the hot seat when I fought him, he still got that flaw. I still see it.”
