As is tradition in early December, the International Boxing Hall of Fame has revealed its latest suite of inductees.
This year’s additions:
- Eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao, the only boxer to ever enjoy title reigns in four decades.
- Two-division champion Vinny Paz, author of one of boxing’s most remarkable comebacks from injury and subject of the 2016 film Bleed for This.
- Two-division champion and middleweight standout of the 1980s Michael Nunn.
- Two-division champion Yessica Chavez.
- Two-division champion and all-time great female puncher Anne Sophie Mathis.
- Two-division champion Mary Jo Sanders.
- Cathy Davis, the first woman to grace the cover of The Ring and receive a boxing license from the New York State Athletic Commission.
- Iconic referee Kenny Bayless.
- Long-serving cutman Al Gavin.
- Prolific British referee Harry Gibbs.
- Longtime journalist, former NYSAC chairman, and current Sirius XM radio host Randy Gordon.
- Former president of HBO Sports Ross Greenburg.
- Colombian icon Rodrigo Valdez.
- Bare-knuckle destroyer Owen Swift.
Of the modern fighters, Pacquiao and Chavez were on their first ballot.
