Boxing streaming and TV schedule for Feb. 24 – Mar. 1

Fighting

Monday, Feb. 24

ESPN+, 3:00 am ET, Junto Nakatani vs David Cuellar. For Nakatani’s WBC bantamweight title. It’s easy for these Japanese weekday sunrise shows to get lost in the shuffle here in the US, but this is a nice little main event. Another good matchup in support as Tenshin Nasukawa takes on Jason Moloney. BLH will have live updates

Thursday, February 27th

DAZN, 7:0 pm ET, Kim Clavel vs Anabel Ortiz. From Montreal. Support includes one eight rounder and five four rounders, so not much here if the main event isn’t a hook for you.

Friday, February 28th

DAZN, 8:00 pm ET, Rocky Hernandez vs Rene Giron. A Matchroom show from Quebec. Hernandez is a hard-hitting action guy, and you may remember Giron from losses to Floyd Schofield and Michel Rivera. Jelena Mrdjenovich and several French Canadians fill out the undercard.

Saturday, Mar. 1

FOX Australia, 3:00 am ET, No Limit. Liam Wilson headlines in a rematch with Youssef Dib, who Wilson knocked out in 8 rounds back in July. No American television, but our Australian friends will probably want to remember to tune in, as it sounds like the first matchup was a banger.

TNT Sports (UK), 2:00 pm ET, Collision on the Coast. After all the foofaraw over Queensberry signing on with DAZN, now we get to watch Frank Warren and jilted ex BT Sport/TNT Sports live out the last few weeks of their lease before either can officially move on. Ryan Garner vs Salvador Jimenez for a vacant European title tops the bill. Joe Joyce has a scheduled 8 rounder here, barely a month before he’s slated to face Dillian Whyte. But, he’s facing a guy who got blasted in two rounds by Hughie Fury, so presumably he can get through with no cuts or injuries.

DAZN, 2:00 pm ET, Lewis Crocker vs Paddy Donovan. From Crocker’s hometown of Belfast. Both are undefeated welterweights somewhere between young and in-their-prime, it’s an Ireland vs Northern Ireland matchup, and the venue burns hot when the action deserves it. Lot of ingredients for a fun show here. Spider Richards vs Padraig McCrory is the undercard matchup with the most name value. BLH will have live updates

DAZN, 7:00 pm ET, Subriel Matias vs Gabriel Valenzuela. A Salita Promotions show from Puerto Rico. Matias looks for his second win since last June’s surprise decision loss to Liam Paro. Valenzuela is no pushover, with decision losses to William Zepeda and Montana Love and a 2023 win over Steve Spark. Nestor Bravo vs Xolisani Ndongeni, plus Javier Fortuna fighting for a minor WBO prize, headline the undercard.

Prime PPV, 7:00 pm ET, Tank Davis vs Lamont Roach. Look, I really like Lamont Roach, and I think we were all happy for him when he won his WBA title at 130 lbs. But, this fight was roundly panned when it was announced for last December, and it hasn’t gotten any more appealing in the three extra months it’s had to marinate. Can this scrappy titlist from a lower weight class do what so many other scrappy titlists from a lower weight class have failed to do before, and finally be the one to upset Tank Davis? Almost certainly not. But, Tank has one of the most consistent PPV audiences in the sport, so enough people will drop the $80 on Prime PPV or PPV.com to make it financially viable. Jose Valenzuela and Gary Antuanne Russell face off in the chief support, while Alberto Puello and Sandor Martin fight further down the card. Jarret Hurd headlines the free two fight prelims. BLH will have live updates
