Undefeated junior lightweight contender Andres Cortes will attend the Oscar Valdez–Liam Wilson fight on March 29 in Glendale, Arizona, as he angles for a matchup with the winner.
Cortes (21-0, 12 KOs), currently ranked No. 3 by the WBO, will sit ringside at the Desert Diamond Arena as Valdez and Wilson square off for the interim WBO interim junior lightweight title.
“I’ll be watching the Valdez versus Wilson fight closely because I see myself facing the winner in the near future,” said Cortes, who was born and raised in Las Vegas. “This is a significant matchup in the division, and I’m ready to take on the challenge against whoever emerges victorious.”
Known for his confidence and skill inside the ring, Cortes emphasized his belief in his abilities and willingness to face any opponent in the division.
“I firmly believe that I am the best fighter in the super featherweight division, and I’m prepared to prove it by taking on all comers,” he said. “I’m eager to showcase my talents and continue my journey towards becoming a world champion.”
