ProBox, 8:30 pm ET, Home to Roost. It’s “Home to Roost” because this show is happening at the Chicken Ranch. No, not the legendary Texas whorehouse that went defunct 50 years ago… A new casino with the same name in California. Will the casino inspire any ZZ Top songs? Any Broadway musicals or major motion pictures? Can you use poultry to pay for sex acts there? Speculation on such matters is beyond the scope of my duties. But, you will get Gabriel Flores Jr vs Jose Arellano as a main event, Emiliano Moreno vs Cesar Francis as a supporting act, plus CountryBox: Where Music Meets Boxing veteran DeMichael Harris and Top Rank giant-in-residence Antonio Mireles deeper on the undercard. ProBox doesn’t have any future Wednesday night Florida shows in the plans, choosing to focus instead on weekend events around the country. So, join us for a farewell to ProBox Wednesdays, while you still have the chance. BLH will have live updates
Thursday, February 20th
DAZN, 7:30 pm ET, Avious Griffin vs Jose Luis Sanchez. A Boxing Insider show from New York City. Former Jared Anderson opponent George Arias is in the chief support.
Friday, February 21st
DAZN, 12:00 pm ET, Boxing 5. A South Africa show headlined by Katlego Khanyisa vs Manqoba Magubane.
UFC Fight Pass, 10:00 pm ET, Hollywood Fight Nights. Cain Sandoval vs Mark Bernaldez is the main event.
Saturday, Feb. 22
DAZN PPV, 10:00 am ET, Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol 2. A rematch of the excellent, mildly controversial October undisputed light heavyweight title fight that went to Beterviev by majority decision. It’s a big, big card beyond the main event rematch: Daniel Dubois vs Joe Parker, Carlos Adames vs Hamzah Sheeraz, Vergil Ortiz vs Israil Madrimov, Shakur Stevenson vs Floyd Schofield, Zhilei Zhang vs Agit Kabayel, and Joshua Buatsi vs Callum Smith, all for some combination of world or interim world titles. $25.99 for the DAZN PPV if you’re in America, which comes out to about $2 per world title up for grabs. BLH will have live updates
PPV, 8:00 pm ET, Redneck Brawl 9: Appalachian Throwdown! This is the 5th of these shows we’ve covered, and I’ve never been disappointed. If you’ve never watched along with us… This is the last pure, beautiful thing left in Boxing. If you’re a repeat live coverage aficionado? Lil’ Smokey vs Country Boot Gang isn’t happening, but Georgia Outlaw faces Tennessee Cornbread, Macho Man is back (and he’s been eating snacks!), we get some first timers called Sudafed Crashout, Perc 30, Nashville Nyquil, and King Diabetic, and two guys called “Big Bad John” face each other for rights to the nickname. $22.99 buys you 25+ fights, not including the traditional riots in the audience. Yeah, I know the Saudi show is only $3 more… But, consider that you could buy both and spend 12+ hours getting wildly entertained for about half of what Canelo vs William Scull will probably cost you. BLH will have live updates, LET’S F—IN’ GOOOOOOO!
