Caroline Dubois wants big-time fights in 2025, but accepts that she may not actually get a bout with Katie Taylor.
Taylor, who is undisputed champion at 140 lbs, still holds belts at 135, too, including the WBC title. Dubois (10-0, 5 KO) won the WBC’s interim title on Aug. 3, and wants Taylor to either fight her or vacate the belt.
“It’s my turn to come through. Fight me or let the belt go,” Dubois recently told Sky Sports.
Dubois, 23, sees herself as the future of women’s boxing, and she’s certainly a leading candidate.
Currently set to return on Jan. 11 against Jessica Camara in Sheffield, England, Dubois has also been linked to possible fights with Amanda Serrano and Terri Harper. Serrano and Taylor seem most likely to have a third fight next year, but if that doesn’t come together, Dubois could certainly be an option for either.
