‘I got to find plenty of answers’: Tszyu reacts to stoppage loss to Murtazaliev

Following his shocking early stoppage loss over the weekend, Tim Tszyu issues a public statement via social media about this unexpected setback and explains that it’s not over for him, as he expects to be back in big fights soon.

“Look, it is what it is,” Tszyu said. “I got caught with a shot I just couldn’t move on. I kept getting up but that wasn’t good enough. Congrats to my opponent on a tremendous performance, but yeah, we move on, regroup, and my team will be back.

“Again, I will be back. I’ll still be in big fights soon. I got to find plenty of answers from myself, of course. The main thing my dad taught me from young age, ‘never give up.’ If you shoot for the stars and you crash and burn on the way, just keep going. And I’m going to keep going and keep reaching for them stars. Thank you all.”

Tszyu, 29, has now lost two consecutive fights and faces an uphill battle as he looks to return to world title contention.
