In this video interview with IBF weightweight champion Jaron Ennis, he talks about the plans for his career now that he’s aligned with Matchroom, targeting big fights and making offers for unifications, as well as his career goals of going undisputed four times. Check out some of what he had to say below.

Ennis on the plans for his career going forward

“I was looking for the biggest fights possible, one is Terence Crawford. But I guess he looking other ways and trying to find other fights so my main goal right now is to become undisputed at 147, to collect these belts.”

On Mario Barrios getting a big offer to unify with him in November

“We just waiting right now. It’s still no news but I sent offers out to Barrios, Brian Norman, and Stanionis and it’s out of my hands now. I did all I could to make these fights happen and I put it in those guys hands now.

“First of all it’s not even up to the promoters, it’s up to us. I want these fights, I’m trying to collect these belts. I’m down here for one thing and one thing only, to be undisputed, to collect all the belts. Whoever got them belts, they got to come see me or we coming to see you. I’m coming to take them belts and be undisputed.”

On the importance of going undisputed

“I feel like it means everything. That’s legacy right there, and that’s what I want. I want to be undisputed welterweight world champion, I want to be undisputed at 154, ‘60 and ‘68. I want to be the first male to be four-time undisputed weight division champion, so that’s my goal.”
