Brazilian lightweight Jonhatan Cardoso will top the final ProBox TV show of the year when he meets Mexico’s Eduardo Ramirez on December 11.
The fight will take place at the ProBox TV Events Center near Tampa, Florida. In his most recent action, Ramirez, 28-4-3 (13 KOs), was outscored over 10 rounds by the Philippines’ Mark Magsayo in June. Cardoso, 17-1 (15 KOs), won a split decision over Adam Lopez in May on ProBox TV.
The co-main event on the card will be a 10-round featherweight fight between unbeaten New York Dominican Luis Reynaldo Nunez, 19-0 (13 KOs), who will be making his first fight in 18 months against Mexico’s Leonardo Baez, 21-5 (12 KOs), back after a three-year absence following a 10-round defeat to Rey Vargas at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
The third 10-rounder on the bill will feature 11-0 (2 KOs) bantamweight Katsuma Akitsugi, a 27-year-old Japanese southpaw who fights out of California, up against Aston Palicte, of the Philippines, who is 28-6-1 (23 KOs). Palicte has lost his past two fights – but in good company, to Jason Moloney and Jose Salas Reyes.
ProBox TV will also be in Waterford, Ireland, partnering with Conlan Boxing for a show on December 7, with 18-0 junior welterweight Jonathan Navarro facing Mexico’s Jair Valtierra, 17-3 (9 KOs), and Irish welterweight Tyrone McKenna meeting Dylan Moran.
