Orlando Gonzalez and Jorge Castaneda meet tonight in a ProBox TV main event, set for 10 rounds in the junior lightweight division.
The show starts at 8 pm ET, so join us then for full live coverage in the comments section below!
Gonzalez (21-2, 12 KO) is a 28-year-old Puerto Rican fighter (and expect to hear plenty about it) who spent some time under the Top Rank banner. His only professional losses came to Robeisy Ramirez and Misael Lopez.
Castaneda (16-2, 12 KO) is a 27-year-old from Laredo, Texas, but the promotional material is calling him “Mexican opposition,” because we can’t let a single potential fight go by without leaning on a PUERTO RICO vs MEXICO!! rivalry that only seems relevant to promoters these days, and marginally so at that. He’s 1-0 on shows I’ve done live coverage for, having upset Youssef Khoumari on a DAZN show two years ago.
