Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant will meet up today for their final press conference ahead of Saturday’s Showtime pay-per-view main event, and if it’s anything like the first time they got together, it could be an interesting one.
Canelo (56-1-2, 38 KO) and Plant (23-0, 12 KO) came to blows with plenty of fire in their words back in September, when they officially announced the fight in Los Angeles. Since then, the two have tried to give the impression that it was the heat of the moment, but Canelo has said several times that Plant has made this fight personal, too, and you can tell there’s just a different sort of vibe from the Mexican superstar for this fight.

Canelo will be defending the WBC, WBA, and WBO titles on Saturday, with Plant’s IBF title also on the line, making for the first-ever undisputed super middleweight title fight in the four-belt era. At the moment, Canelo is listed as a heavy favorite, as everyone expected, with DraftKings having him at -1000 and Plant at +600, good odds on the latter if you fancy the upset.
