Photos: Shakur Stevenson Dominates, Stops Jamel Herring For WBO Title

In the first, Herring decided to box with Stevenson, who had few issues with outboxing him. Stevenson was starting to land more often in the second as he pressed forward. The left hand was connecting hard on Herring.

There was swelling building under the left eye of Herring in the third. Stevenson was unloading with combinations on Herring, who was having no answers. 

In the fourth, Herring began to move forward and was trying to force Stevenson to fight going backwards. Herring was pumping the right jab. Stevenson was still outlanding him with the better shots. During the fifth, Stevenson rattled Herring with some heavy punches that were landing flush. Herring was able to land well with a series of punches to the head and body, but Stevenson was able to take them.

Stevenson was outboxing and outlanding Herring in the sixth. He stunned Herring with a few hard right hands. The left eye of Herring continued to swell during the action. Rounds seven and eight were more of the same, with Stevenson outlanding Herring on the inside. The tempo slowed down in the ninth, with close action between the two. A cut opened above the right eye of Herring.

During the tenth, Stevenson was coming forward and putting his punches together. He was doing damage on Herring. And the referee had seen enough and stopped the fight.
