Blessed with a knack for spoiling undefeated records, Terence Crawford’s rise to the top of the welterweight division has been paved with eye-catching victories in competitive fights
  1. Yuriorkis Gamboa
Crawford’s true breakout performance arrived in June 2014 when the world watched him tame the significant threat of undefeated Cuban amateur star Gamboa inside nine rounds.
  2. Viktor Postol
When meeting Crawford in 2016, Postol had just defeated Lucas Matthysse and was unbeaten in 28 fights. But that didn’t stop the Ukrainian being dominated over 12 rounds by Crawford.
  3. Egidijus Kavaliauskas
Another of many unbeaten opponents Crawford has slayed, Lithuania’s Kavaliauskas met the American in 2019 and was duly broken up inside nine rounds and stopped.
  4. Jeff Horn
A year after upsetting Manny Pacquiao in his homeland, unbeaten Australian Jeff Horn lost in 2018 when taken apart by Crawford in nine rounds.
  5. Julius Indongo
Having just outboxed Ricky Burns in impressive fashion in his previous fight, few would have expected the undefeated Julius Indongo to be chewed up and spat out inside just three rounds by Crawford in 2017.
  6. José Benavidez Jnr
Yet another unbeaten record was snapped by Crawford in October 2018, when Mexico’s Benavidez Jnr saw a spirited effort come to an end with just 18 seconds left to go in the fight.
  7. Ray Beltran
Though Beltran had endured an up-and-down career to that point, by the time Crawford got hold of him and outpointed him in 2014 the Mexican was enjoying arguably the best form of his career.
  8. Kell Brook
Deemed damaged goods following punishing losses to Gennady Golovkin and Errol Spence Jnr, Kell Brook had no answer for anything Crawford showed him in 2020 and was beaten inside merely four rounds.
  9. Amir Khan
Like Brook, Khan was considered past his best around the time he met Crawford in 2019 and, like Brook, was bamboozled by the welterweight before opting to surrender in the sixth round.
  10. Ricky Burns
As hard as it is to believe now, Crawford was something of an unknown entity and underdog back when he travelled to Scotland to challenge Ricky Burns in March 2014. Twelve rounds later, however, everyone knew his name.
