Zelfa Barrett Drops, Decisions Bruno Tarimo in IBF Eliminator

Boxing Scene

Manchester – In an IBF super featherweight eliminator, Zelfa Barrett (27-1, 16 KOs) easily outboxed Bruno Tarimo (26-3-2, 5 KOs) over twelve rounds for a unanimous decision win.

The scores were 117-110, 117-110, 116-111.

Tarimo was pressing forward like a bull, but he was not very effective with his punches. Barrett was moving and landing punches while Tarimo was trying to get inside.

In the third, Barrett dropped Tarimo with a quick counter. It was more of a flash knockdown, with Tarimo swinging away once he got up.

As the fight played out, Tarimo, who lacks punching power, was unable to do much in the fight, as Barrett was easily outboxing and outlanding him for most of the contest.
