Zepeda vs Redkach, MVP, and Red Owl: Live updates and results – 8:30 pm ET

Fighting

This week’s big event already happened on Tuesday morning, when Naoya Inoue stopped TJ Doheny in the 7th round of their championship fight. And while there isn’t much notable happening this weekend, we do have some quantity, as DAZN offers three different cards of Friday night action! So, join us here at Bad Left Hook for a collective hangout, discussion, and live coverage thread in the comments below.

Jose Zepeda vs Ivan Redkach are the biggest names in action, on a MarvNation show from Temecula, California, streaming on DAZN starting at 11 pm ET. Both men are 1-3 in their last four fights, and the welterweight limit for this one is north of where either did their prime work. But, Zepeda (37-5, 28 KO) gave us a generational fight in his win over Ivan Baranchyk back in 2020. And, if Redkach (24-7-1, 19 KO) can’t be counted on for anything else (and, recently, he can’t!), he’s reliably unhinged in the ring. He earned a six-figure fine and a one year suspension for biting Danny Garcia in the neck back in 2020, then tried unsuccessfully to fake a low blow to sneak a disqualification in his return fight against Regis Prograis. Will Zepeda give us another epic war? Will Redkach embrace in-ring Twilight cosplay once again? Let’s find out!

Elsewhere on DAZN, Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions gives us a prospect spotlight from Orlando, Florida starting at 9:00 pm ET. And, Red Owl Boxing gives us the latest in their series of shows from Houston, Texas, starting at 8:30 pm ET.

Full coverage and analysis will likely be limited to the Zepeda-Redkach show, but the comments are open for anyone watching any of the action tonight. So, join us here tonight in the comments below, with shows starting at 8:30, 9:00, and 11:00 pm ET!
